Lyric Academy of Italian Phonetics and diction for Belcanto

The Accademia Lirica di Fonetica Italiana per il Belcanto is a light and nimble academy that is not concerned, for now, with awarding degrees or diplomas but has a seemingly minimal goal: to make words comprehensible during singing, during phonation.

A place where singers and scorekeepers, and even people unrelated to singing, can acquire very detailed information to easily make themselves experts in the relationship between speech and singing.

This is only the main focus because good pronunciation is one of the gateways to all the peculiarities of bel canto. The ultimate goal is to give each performer all the useful tools to make his or her singing expressive and natural.

The teachers of the Academy, who are guaranteed teaching autonomy, all share the special attention to the principles of Italian phonetics having participated in the courses of phonetics and diction for belcanto taught by M° Fabbri. Students are thus guaranteed that homogeneity of method that allows safe and rapid progress.

It stands as a subsidy to the training paths of Conservatories' singing schools, organizing even short courses that conform to the needs of individual students.
